The Tom Riddle Diary may seem blank, but are the hidden secrets inside?
Hi my name is Rodney and today we’re going to be looking a little bit closer at the Tom Riddle Diary
now for those that have only seen the films or like me maybe just forgotten about the intricacies of the plot
the Tom Riddle Diary is a little bit more than just Voldemort’s horcruxes
and I’ll be revealing this in a moment, so if you don’t want any spoilers then be sure to stop watching now
of the horcruxes that are available from Noble Collection, the diary would fall on the lower end of the scale
so the way it would go would be the Diary, the Locket, the Ring, the Cup and then the Diadem
of course there are things that can be used to represent Nagini and Harry
but that’s a little bit more complex and we won’t be going into that in this video, because this video is about the diary
the pages are indeed blank, so if you wished to write in them, you could use it for anything
this diary is leather bound and on the back has a distinctive Tom Marvolo Riddle tag, that looks like to be in metallic gold
it also has real metal corner plates, that have a unique design and does make it feel quite high-end sadly it does have the Warner Bros copyright stamp at the back, so it does ruin the magic just a little bit
so for ages it just sat on my shelf as a keepsake
but for a while now I’ve been including little tokens of specific Harry Potter events that I’ve been going to
and because these are dated, I guess I have been using it as a diary
just really to remember those wonderful occasions that i got to experience
now I wanted to show you something else I discovered when I was much younger
and it was when I’d purchased a real quill and was playing around with ink and writing you know the
“Do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets?” now, I’m sure many people have done this…
but for some reason I had disappearing ink
and this is the one that you get from a joke shop that you like, spill on clothing and then it vanishes
and I wondered to myself, could I use this on paper, like would it disappear the same way?
so I purchased some and wrote a little…
and hey presto, the writing vanished if you decide to do this and the diary writes back, I won’t be held accountable…
so to recap as a keen collector of Harry Potter merchandise
I would say the Tom Riddle Diary is worth it, I really like it
it was a goal of mine to collect all the like real horcrux items from noble collection, and I’m pleased to say that now I have done that
